Report Emergencies
The University of Louisville Police Department (ULPD) patrols and responds to safety calls on Belknap, Health Sciences and Shelby campuses 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
To report an emergency, call:
- 911 - Your call will be answered by the Louisville MetroSafe Emergency Communications Center and routed to ULPD Dispatch.
- 502-852-6111 - Your call will be answered by ULPD Dispatch.
Be prepared to provide the following information as you are able:
- Response address, including building names and precise description of the location
- Brief description of the emergency and if anyone is hurt or injured
- Detailed description of anyone who left the area and needs to be found
- Name (if known) race and gender
- Weight, height, age range
- Clothing description
- Vehicle description, license plate
- Direction of travel
